There will always be obstacles in life so it’s important to train your brain to work around them.
Our brains like to create mental blocks, make things seem more difficult than they really are, and even create problems so that we can avoid confrontation or failure. There are also legitimate roadblocks that can leave you feeling like the odds are insurmountably stacked against you.
The more you can learn to find creative ways to work around issues, perceived or real, the less intimidating they will seem and the more confidence you will gain in yourself.
You know what hurdles you are facing. Pick one and figure out one new thing you can do now to creatively approach it. If you draw a blank, brainstorm with a friend or consider what a role model would do. If it makes you feel uncomfortable, even better. Soon your brain will create fewer excuses and resistance because it will know that you will just work around it.
